Homanit is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality, thin MDF and HDF fiberboards. Our products are found in millions of homes and are widely used in the furniture and door industries. We proudly serve the world’s largest furniture retailer and its suppliers with fiberboards in a variety of finishes.

Homanit is proud to expand into the United States with a new facility located at 1200 Spigner Road in Alcolu, SC,  which will produce fiberboards for our U.S.-based customers. We chose South Carolina for its skilled workforce, robust supplier network, access to natural resources, and proximity to customers. We’re excited to become part of this community.

About Us

Founded in 1876, Homanit has remained a privately owned, family-run company for four generations. Today, Homanit operates four state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing plants across three European countries.

We handle every step of production in-house, giving us full control over quality. Our factories operate 24/7, equipped with cutting-edge technology that allows us to maintain industry-leading tolerances while producing more than 200,000 square feet of board per hour.

Wood is our core material, and sustainability is our promise. We work exclusively with timberland partners that practice sustainable forestry. Together we ensure that we replant as many trees as we harvest so that future generations can continue to enjoy the beauty of our forests. Our operations are designed to minimize energy use, chemical dependency, and waste.
